READ ME for details and tips: **Do not use alcohol directly on your skin!!!** This recipe is for a multi-purpose brush, hand, implement and surface cleaner. I primarily use it for everyday spot-cleaning of my makeup brushes. Supplies needed: small spray bottle (~$1), Alcohol (~$1), pure tea tree oil (~$8). Total cost: $10, yields about 3-4 bottles per bottle of tea tree oil. Mix one part pure tea tree oil to five parts alcohol in a small spray bottle. Spray either directly onto brushes or onto a clean paper towel, and gently clean wipe brushes clean (don't forget the handles!). Can be used on both synthetic and natural fiber brushes, and to clean all types of makeup, including waterproof eyeliner. If you need to use the same brush with different colors, spray just a little bit of cleaner onto your towel and wipe the color away without saturating the brush with the cleaner. **Always let the brushes dry before using! You do not want to get alcohol near your eyes!!** While the tea tree oil does prevent the alcohol from over-drying the brushes, I recommend using a mild shampoo and conditioner at least every two weeks to thoroughly clean and replenish your makeup brushes. Also use the cleaner on: tweezers, eyelash curlers, pencils & sharpeners, makeup packaging, makeup cases, work surfaces, hands, cell phones, keyboards, etc., etc., etc.!
